Sifted through His hands.

"There is no circumstance, no trouble, no testing, that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart." -Alan Redpath

My friend gave me this quote a while ago, and I keep seeing it in my kitchen. It is a good reminder in difficult times of the sovereign perspective I am to have. That God Almighty is overseeing all things and knows all things. That though I struggle with my might, He is the constant Rock that is beneath me. That no trial, nor trouble, nor anything can separate me from that. I may not feel warm arms embracing me, but He has never let go. I may not see a clear path, but His eyes are always passionately leading me. My flesh is weak. At times it is hard to fight, but like it says, it is for some greater purpose.

Lord, give me strength this day to honor Your name. It is You who have given me a purpose in life. In Your presence is fullness of joy, and at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Let my heart rejoice in that, though my flesh is weak.
